man up people. admit your mistakes. lets correct the problem and stop playing lame power games. stuff like this will hurt the democrats in the mid-cycle election.regardless, this is a really fun exchange between barney frank and a law student at harvard. i've been unimpressed with barney frank from the time he started rambling about the republicans to blame right after the talk broke down with mccain and obama at the negotiating table as candidates.
unfortunately, this exchange reinforces why i would prefer limited government albeit with sensible regulations when needed...

I too enjoyed the exchange. Im a mazed that he continues to be re- elected. Love, Uncle Ron
Good call, Paul. He only tries to joke his way out of this instead of even attempting to answer the question. After his involvement with Freddy and Fannie, he needs to be more articulate and transparent.

uncle ron: agreed.
jon: true.
paul, here is what your beloved has to say about mr frank.
Peter, I read your article on dodd. it did not change my mind about frank. Love, dad
dad,
it wasn't supposed to.
he's just an effective opportunist. most long-term politicians are...
I read the article from the Economist. It is the type of banter made famous by USWN&R. Innuendo and opinion passed off as fact. Nonetheless, Barney Frank was the one who was disingeneous in his retorts to the law student. Interesting: one jew going after another. Being labeled, doesn't necessarily mean we agree, does it.
oooh, peter. it's hard to argue with my beloved...
frank has still been unimpressive to me. i do like what the economist says about his willingness to compromise and his command of details.
however, his showing at the harvard school of law was deplorable...
TMF:
the article posted is from the "lexington" article, which is in fact labeled as opinion. it is the weekly opinion column in reference to U.S. affairs. maybe i should have clarified that.
but the vast majority of the paper doesn't have such a bend. pro-business and free-trade, yes. but definitely not slanted and nuanced as you decry.
paul.
agreed. most long-standing politicians are long standing because they have mastered their trade. harvard Q&A: case in point.
ironic that lexington is being decried. it's my favorite opinion piece around. i feel i'm not in the know if too many weeks pass and i haven't read the latest lexington...
