what has happened in new york...?

reuters
announced that as a result of the nyc subway flooding that riders have 'been stunned' and that 'tempers' have 'frayed'. at times like this, my thoughts turn to the nyc hipster. how are you stevie? did the flooding in the subway affect you personally?

anyone else have a favorite weather story--scary, exhilerating?

trains were down: spent $30 on a taxi to get uptown. flooded on our street and it smelled like fecal mater and dirty mud.

so the taxi debacle was only required for one day?

your story of fecal matter in the street reminds of the time our house flooded in the philippines...try fecal matter on the floor.

anyway, i'm glad to hear you're okay. anymore excitement to speak of on the way home? did you have to walk through any water?

my favorite weather stories have come with the risenmays. ice storms in kentucky and a torrential rainstorm that i thought would sweep us off the road coming home from the liberty bowl.

you know, it wasn't really that big of a deal. the subways weren't running and stuff. of course, everyone claims its due to global warming (horse manure). if something small happens in ny, its huge news over the rest of the country. kind of stupid. stuff like this happens everyday in all other parts of the country. you know? but, like i said before, i guess the fly-over states really aren't that important....

What... like Kentucky??

This morning at our breakfast prayer, Michael was "thankful for everything we have.... except Satan..."

Pretty cute.

Last night we actually got to go OUT to a movie!!! Between the movie, a modest dinner, and the babysitter it costs us $50-65 to do a dinner-and-a-movie date. Yikes!!! I guess that is why we aren't too up-to-date on newly released movies.

weather stories? Amy-remember huddling in the basement in KY during tornado warnings? And now Western Oregon. No weather. You can't call a summer of hot days with no rain, weather. Global warming and glaciers? I think global warming started in my garden. I finally gave up. Not at all cost-effective trying to keep it watered.

you should consider the story about how global warming has affected you garden for a spot on npr's current series on climate change...yours is one my favorite global warming stories so far.

tornado huddlings huh? is that the time aj was sad because he was realizing he may never become a utah jazz player?
