Just so you know, it has been a wonderfully eventful 5 days at our house. My brother, Matt brought his family (wife Angela, children Brinlee and Max) to visit.

Activities included a trip to the pumpkin patch/carnival, a bikride for the men, a BYU win, an IKEA trip for the ladies, a night beach extravaganza, helping Amy in church while Paul was on call Sunday, Disneyland until closing, a Halloween carnival at our house, Brinlee's 3rd b-day party, and of course--HALLOWEEN! Michael and Brinlee had so much fun together! We were so happy to have them visit us.

So here are some Halloween costume pictures...

Michael was a BYU football player (surprise, surprise!). He got the biggest kick out of his cleats (Lafe's old ones) and black marks under his eyes. He alternated between being Hala Paongo, John Beck, and (of course) "just Michael."

Brinlee was Cinderella... and knows just how to curtsey! How many kids get Halloween a birthday on the same day?? This was a big day for our little princess!

The girls were inchworms... costumes found by Grandma Frandsen. They lived up to their Halloween titles and inched all over the place.

They both found each other quite interesting and sometimes inched all over each other!
Oh... and at Disneyland, Michael was tall enough to ride Space Mountain... I still can't believe we took him on it. Paul kept him emotionally stable by singing the "Star Wars" theme song throughout the ride. Below is a picture of the picture they take while you are on the ride.

I was just glad Michael didn't have an "accident," as I didn't bring an extra pair of undies.

That space mountain picture is so funny! Michael's face is priceless! What did he say about it afterward?
The inchworms are adorable too. Sounds like you've had a fun week!
Jill: After Space Mountain, I commented about how well Michael did on the big ride. He excitedly said, "And I didn't falled off!" Like I said, I'm still surprised we took him! He calls it the "dark scary Star Wars ride."
Abby is most commonly the one who crawls over, well, anyone. Bekah does not generally react kindly to this. So it is Abby (not Bekah) on the right in both pictures. Thanks for trying to tell the difference though, Jill!
I do have to tell about our funniest trick-or-treater... a teenager (we had a TON of them... isn't there an age limit???) came in a white shirt and tie. He said he was a Mormon missionary. We excitedly told him "Oh, we're Mormons!" He said, "Oh, this is awkward." We let him know we thought it was fine, and Paul was even going to give him some pass along cards to take, but we didn't have any in the house. Bad member-missionaries!
But the cutest thing was how excited Michael and Brinlee were to RECIEVE trick-or-treaters at our door. Every time the doorbell rang, they ran to the door. They asked people what they were dressed as, and as they left they would call out "Happy Halloween!!" The people would usually answer back, and they would continue until they were out of sight.
We missed Brinlee (and her family) today!
Brinlee (and her family) miss you as well. We all have very fond memories that we were able to take home with us. Brinlee has mentioned Michael many times since we have returned.
paul and amy, your kids are so freaking cute (sorry to grandpa frandsen for the use of that word, but it had to be said, in order to convey how cute the kids are).
sorry i have been absent for a time. i will come back to you soon.
