as you may have heard, espn college gameday is coming to provo.michael and i are planning to be there well before 8 am mountain time for the live taping of the show. however, we are struggling with the right balance for our posters and we need your help.
here are the penciled ideas we have so far.
michael's favorite (of course) has the most numbers on it.
there is the obligatory ESPN poster to assure camera time.
we plan on having our faces painted (i purchased the paint and spray earlier) and i plan on having michael on my shoulders so we can each hold up a poster for double the effect.
we can therefore make 4 posters (double sided)
i'm thinking the other two should be TCU themed posters (and there should be mention of 'horned toads'...)
as you will notice, the posters are a bit rough which is why we need your help!

funny enough, I like the ESPN poster the best. michael's numbers are very compelling, but is there a way to put a little less on it? maybe just the last two lines... waddayathink?
How about this:
ACCORDING TO BCS STANDINGS
MWC > ACC
8 TCU = 5 Cinc
16 BYU > 20 pitt
18 Utah > 23 West V.
MWC = Big 12
8 TCU < 2 TEX
16 BYU = 15 OK ST.
18 Utah > 25 Kansas
MWC = Pac 10
8 TCU = 7 USC
16 BYU < 11 Oregon
18 Utah > 22 Arizona
MWC = BIG 10
8 TCU = 6 Iowa
16 BYU = 13 Penn St.
18 Utah = 19 Ohio St.
Chance to play for a championship
MWC <<<<<<<<<< ACC, Big East, Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10, SEC
Probably too big for a poster, but you gotta love the point it makes.
very nice AJ. love it.
we'll see what we can do.
certainly more germaine to this years season...
yes libby. too busy. hmmm...
i wanna come!
Well, time to report. I still have GameDay recorded if you know where you got on (didn't see you). I loved Cosmo breeching security. Did not like the game. Uuuuggghhhh...
I will be looking forward to fielding some of the speed that we have coming in with next year's class (Van Noy, Apo, Stout).
Kind of looking forward to more Riley Nelson too. Max is a great talent and played well considering the leaky line and lack of speed in the wideouts, but...
The game could have definitely gone better, but look on the bright side. The BCS cronies were pulling for the cougs in this one. If TCU and BSU win out, the whole bcs picture will be a mess.
Oregon will jump BSU in the rankings if they beat USC this weekend--which I will completely disagree with. That should be enough to get people complaining. Then, if a one loss team (hopefully oregon, but probably LSU) sneaks into the championship we will be talking a full blown mutiny.
Once again, the BCS fat cats are sweating as they look over the bowl projections. Two undefeated non-bcs teams will surely be a dagger in this horrible systems back. I really wish the cougs would have played a better game saturday, but this might be better for us in the long run.
matt your picture is creepy
matt's picture was creepy, but if TCU is really that good (hoping we really aren't that bad) then the loss is better for the conference...
it was a sad one though.
matt's picture is creepy.
i'll update a post sometime soon here.
we only got our poster on the show. i took a picture of the screen shot and will include it in the post...
Paul... takes one to know one. Your picture is creepy too.
There is still a lot of football to go down. Florida, Bama, and Texas don't look unstoppable. I am worried they could all lose and the BCS "fat-cats" bow to the pressure and let BSU or TCU in, thus prolonging the days of the BCS.
I hope Oregon wins out, leaps BSU and makes it to the championship came and have TCU and BSU finish out perfect seasons looking from the outside in. Then we can all sit back and watch it all come crashing down.
Still, I am not so sure about BYU. I think the only team we have beaten that has a winning record is Oklahoma at 4-3...
that game was a heart breaker. i'm sorta glad i could only watch the defeat on justin tv. otherwise, watching the loss in HD instead of pixelation would have been much much worse.
Be sure to check out gameday this weekend. The crew is coming up to Oregon, and I'll try my darndest get something on t.v. This could very well be the best Halloween ever--if UofO beats USC of course.
College Gameday starts at 7am pacific, and the game starts at 5 pacific.
ugh....Matt's picture just gave me the heebiejeebies
We'll watch for you. Text us to tell us what your poster/face/hair/chest looks like for the big event!
Michael didn't need a poster; Just his face should have been enough.
