Following the tradition of seasons past, it is time for this years '24' predictions (on fox, monday nights)...
1. Jack will mess up only once more in the field (ie. dropping an interrogation because 'he could tell' the guy wasn't going to talk?).
2. Chloe will die tonight (if she does, i may stop watching).
3. Tom Lennox is colluding with Abu Fayed to secure oil riches in the middle east (it is too walt cumminsesque, but it will happen again).
4. No one but Amy and I will attend our 24 parties. All are invited.
5. Jack will not use teeth to pierce any more arteries this season.
6. Audrey, while I like her, will flake out again. Poor Jack.
7. Kim should not be allowed on the set.
8. More Americans will die in this episode than ever before.
9. This season will not last beyond 6 am.
10. Jack will not die this season.
11. Samwise Gamgee is unfortunately dead. But if you want to see vintage samwise then watch '50 first dates' again...
12. Jack will meet Audrey again in episode 6 at 11:23 pm.
13. '24' will be the show to finally knock 'american idol' out of the number 1 spot (if only for one week).
14. Fox will dedicate each episode to different servicemen?
15. Stevie and Petey will see every season 6 episode before I do.
16. Sean Hannity will be in one of the background news casts.
17. Nadia Yassir is complicit. Chloe will take her position before the season is over (if she is not killed tonight--see #2).
Well, that about does it. I'll add more when I think of them. What are your predictions? Are you watching as the season goes along? WARNING: The comments in this thread will give away plot points for the first 4 episodes.

I can't watch tonight's episodes for a few days. If you are going to say who dies or what happened then please put a big WARNING at the beginning of the comment.
Can you believe Jack actually bit a person to death. That was so gross.
I think I like Chloe better as a blonde.
Some predictions:
Sandra Palmer will be kidnapped for ransom.
Bill Buchanan will be dismissed for harboring some secret of Jack's, and will get inside help from his wife Karen in the White House.
Tom is a total loser and is plotting to overthrow Wayne Palmer from behind the scenes.
Nadia will be a suspect for helping the terrorists... but she will turn out to be innocent.
Audrey has moved on, and will regret it once she sees some sweet Jack attacks.
Kim will look dumb and be bull-headed somehow.
Sounds like a good season to me!
i think chloe is hot without her blonde hair. and i think tonite's episode almost gave us all a heart attack....or was it a jack attack? as for predictions....i think jack will save the world and again force his own self into some sort of exile.
paul.
my mind is too blown away (picture mushroom cloud over LA type blown away) to even consider predictions at this point.
too baffled to speak
I refuse to read the post because I have only seen seasons 1 and 2 so far.
matt: join the movement and support jack bauer by watching all the 24 you can
matt: i suspect that if you watch this season in real time there is not much you will find out about seasons 3-5. the seasons are pretty self contained. watch. watch.
the most heartwrenching part of the 4th episode for me was not the n-bomb, but watching curtis and jack's faces and each realized that jack had killed his friend. very powerful.
jack kills curtis for a man he just met, a terrorist offering to stop a bomb that went off minutes later (although there are more where that came from) and in many respects curtis was owed the chance to serve justice for atrocities commited against his friends.
should jack have shot to kill?
Paul... it's called the Greater Good. It was sad for Curtis, but his vengence was his own selfish pursuit. The greater good is always Jack's top priority.
Unless, of course, Kim is involved.
I hope Kim doesn't show up.
Unfortunately Peter's comment forshadowed just enough for me and Paul to guess the BIG surprise... but we deserve it for peeking. But it was still a shocker.
How is CTU going to survive this?? How did Fayed survive the blast?? (we know he's in the next episode b/c of the sneak preview...) There is so much to put together next episode. !!!!
And poor Wayne Palmer. He's been too political in the past to just trust his gut like David always did. He's got to learn to be more like his brother... that's why he finally just put Jack in charge.
Now the wait until Monday...
sorry about the spoiler alert. i commented before i thoroughly read the above comments. my mind was THAT frazzled that i didn't even read. i saw jack in my mind's eye all night. i think i even dreamed something like that really happened that night.
on my honor, i hear now pledge to be more scupulous in my reading prior to commenting.
ps. i received my "jack-sack" (the man bag from season 5 that jack carried) today in the mail...
don't worry petey. it wasn't really a spoiler because there was (as with the scenes from next week) the chance that you were playing a trick. you could have mentioned your head blowing up in a mushroom cloud to make us think the bomb was going off.
just as they may have shown fayed alive but that shot is from previous video footage that CTU uncovers of him with the bombs in a van.
however, my feeling is he had some sweet bunker near the site and was hiding out during the blast.
my next prediction: jack will die of cancer...but years from now after he has acted in at least 2 or 3 more days worth of seasons.
Paul... please keep all predictions to the season at hand.
