amy has a christmas tree light show she likes to try out on visitors...ask her about it when you come over.

as you can see, we went to disneyland recently. the trip was great and mickey's christmas additions are nice (as was the weather).
michael was lucky enough to ride the rides with his best friends. here is nanny pushing the boys. michael somehow finagled his way into her stroller spot for much of the day. it was another first this day as michael rode in the haunted mansion car without his parents. he said the scary wasn't too bad.

in preparation for our families' arrival, michael has been reflecting on his most recent trip to utah. some of his most recent antics have centered around lafe. he has taken to running around the house in his underwear--when questioned regarding his state of dress he assures us he is dressed 'wike wafey'. this must be a common practice for lafe in the mornings when i am still asleep and michael comes down to practice with him?

his next antic made a little prouder. he told us at the dinner table that when he is bigger, but not all the way big, like lafey's friends he wants to ride on a board on the snow like them. i assured him that i would support him in that. we discussed wearing a helmet and he assured me i could come with him.
as you can see, the girls are not as excited about santa coming as michael. at the ward christmas party the other night michael was running around the halls with the younger kids and hadn't been up to see santa (he is still a bit shy around the guy). santa was headed out the door and i grabbed michael as he hadn't told santa what he wants for christmas. with a look of dismay in his eyes he yelled down the hall, "a bike, a bike, i want a bike!" santa was kind enough the stop and talk with michael about his choice and requested good behavior. michael agreed. he lives up to his end of the bargain most of the time...

well, merry christmas. we are excited to see many of you very soon. i bought a wetsuit on ebay. we could use another wetsuit or two, so if you know anyone with an extra then bring it along!

Hope you all like fuzzy, out-of-focus pictures of Christmas lights...
You'll just have to come get the full effect yourselves.
paul and amy.
i loved the post as soon as i recovered from throwing up numerous times after reading that you've sold your souls for some christmas lights (as beautiful as they were).
i am however jealous that i didn't get pushed around christmas disney wike michael
petey: you come out and i'll push you around christmas disney. how was the hot chocolate? i haven't seen any pictures yet. all i know is amy's little recipe was the richest hot chocolate i've ever tasted...lucky you.
i appreciate that you appreciated me tipping my hat to you. i'm afraid that you nausea would only increased if you came to visit. walmart is less than a block away from our home and we like to go over and have FHE in its aisles...
it was the richest thing i've ever drunk. plus we used fancy french chocolate truffles, so it made it even richer.
Great pictures. What fun! We can't wait to show up and party. Amy, I expect to taste some of this super-rich hot-chocolate that Petey is talking about.
Don't worry... we have better plans for our guests than to party in the isles of the local Walmart (plus I don't know what Paul's talking about!).
Hot chocolate included.
Today Michael marched into our bedroom at 6:30 with his football helmet on and hot mits on his hands (they're football gloves, hello.). Although this is NOT at ALL an unusual occurrence, he had something unusual in his mouth and was kind of gnawing on it. After further inspection, I saw it was a clear top to a water bottle. I asked why he had it in his mouth, and he stated: "It is just a football thing, mom." I catch on quickly, and realized that it was his protective mouthpiece, duh. Very observant.
very cute jill. we can't wait for you to come down and zach can say, "where mickey go?"...
neither can I
off topic: (my apologies)
paul. you need to tell you dad not to stop writing the weekly family letter... and tell him i would hit reply, but USPS doesn't work that way...
i tell it too him in my reply to the next letter.
Cougars had a great bowl game tonight... unfortunately the girls were really quite sick last night and I chose to stay home with them in case things got worse.
Good news is that they do look a lot better... AND BYU played a fun game. Thanks for all who helped to get the tickets.
I expect that you'll get the full report on the Bowl experience from Paul.
